History
Faradix is a result of a group of Ph.D. and M.Sc. students at the University of Waterloo, Canada, who decided to make hydrogen a reality for people. It has been a long time since the dream of Hydrogen was introduced and, despite it being closer than ever, there is still a long way to go for the replacement of it with fossil fuels. People do not feel the confidence in Hydrogen, as they do in fossil fuels. Therefore, we decided to make Hydrogen affordable and its production and utilization efficient and easy. Since the start of the project in 2019, a long way from fundamentals and simple cell designs to the current optimum designs have been explored. The current product has been under development since January 2023 and has reached full testing in the lab-scale prototype. Our electrolyzer provides high efficiency with lower capital costs, and a maximum utilization of renewable energies without extra burden on power grid.
Faradix, however, is not limited to hydrogen production and the developed system is usable for other electrochemical catalysis processes. This is a special feature of our cell, as our goal has been to facilitate the cell - electrode assembly and to ease the replacement of electrodes.
